Open Positions
Director of Land, Permitting, and Community Outreach
East Light Partners is a renewable energy company, focused on the build out of solar energy and energy storage capacity in the Northeast US. East Light is driven by the principle that renewable energy can, should, and will dominate our energy mix into the future. East Light is making this transition happen through the origination and development of clean energy projects that benefit investors, communities, and our environment over the long term.
East Light is seeking a Director of Land, Permitting, and Community Outreach to help grow our solar and storage project portfolio in the Northeast. The position will be part of a small, collaborative team, which guides projects from origination into construction. The director will support all aspects of project development with a specific focus on managing site origination and acquisition, project permitting, and local stakeholder outreach.
The ideal candidate has strong familiarity with energy project development, is a self-starter, problem-solver, and a strong communicator. The candidate should have an interest in land development, environmental and land use regulations, and community engagement.
Success in the role requires a high degree of organization and attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and resourcefulness. Candidates should be able to thrive with very little structure around them and be motivated by the success of our collective efforts. Passion for addressing climate change and knowledge of the energy landscape are important.
Our intention is for this to be a diverse and inclusive search process.
